The HBCU College & History Tour at TWST4Girls is a transformative educational travel experience designed to expose scholars to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Black history, leadership, culture, and higher education opportunities beyond their local communities.
Through campus visits, admissions sessions, cultural immersion, and historical exploration, scholars gain firsthand insight into college life while deepening their understanding of Black excellence, resilience, and achievement.
The tour encourages students to envision themselves in higher education spaces, engage with university representatives, explore academic pathways, and build confidence in their future goals. In addition to college exposure, scholars visit significant historical landmarks and cultural sites that connect them to the legacy, contributions, and experiences of African Americans throughout history.
More than 90% of TWST4Girls scholars who participate in the tour commit to a college or university they were exposed to during their experience, while 100% of scholars previously undecided about attending college transition into college-bound graduates.
